Envipak services for municipalities
Obliged persons through the authorized organization are prepared to conclude an agreement with municipalities to direct financial support for separate waste collection, and thus directly finance the operation of the local separate collection of packaging waste.
The objective of such agreement is to set basic operating rules of cooperation so obliged persons can pay to municipalities for all packaging waste, which will be through the local systems of separate waste collection of household packaging collected and recycled, regardless of their number and the binding limits that are to obliged persons prescribed by European and Slovak legislation.
The contribution that is offered to municipalities by the obliged persons through an authorized organization is derived from current market situation and the real and objective costs of municipalities associated with the separate collection of packaging waste from Slovak households.
Obliged persons bring a system that provides to municipalities the long-term perspective based on experience from abroad. Such systems work in member countries of the European Union for nearly 20 years.
The basis of the offered solution is cooperation of municipalities and the authorised organization which represents the industry. Cooperation based on transparent and clearly defined rules.
ENVI-PAK (as the representative of the industry), offers to all Slovak municipalities:
- Direct payment to the municipalities involved in the system for all collected and recycled packaging waste originating from households originated in the area of the municipality regardless of its quantity. Payment is based on the real objective of municipality costs associated with separate collection of packaging waste.
- Professional advice in the field of separate waste collection based on the international know-how.
- Support in the education of the population associated with the promotion of separate waste collection.
- Possibility to all municipalities to enter into this system.
Since the introduction of the direct support of separate waste collection in Slovak municipalities, the system has involved more than 1000 towns and villages in Slovakia.
